Lamb Production
In May, the Company continued to build the flock size, by acquiring 2,245 Dorper lambs from the Western and Central regions of New South Wales. These ewes are in lamb and are scheduled to lamb in approximately 10 weeks. They are well-settled on site, and are gaining weight as scheduled.
Several ewes acquired in April have started to lamb, with average lambing rate at 132% as of 31 May. More ewes are expected to lamb in the next few weeks.
There is a window of time when more ewes in lamb and studs can be purchased in June. For the short term, this remains the Company’s preferred use of funds.
